This national award, established by the National Economic Security Alliance, honors distinguished leaders who demonstrate exceptional integrity, service, and dedication to the mission of public safety.
The Webster Awards program reflects the values of Judge William H. Webster, the only individual to serve as both Director of the FBI and Director of the CIA. Each year, senior nominating committees made up of former federal leaders review candidates across multiple sectors, including law enforcement, intelligence, homeland security, and defense. Recipients are chosen for their commitment to honor, duty, humility, and leadership that strengthens public trust.
Throughout his career, Derek has embodied these principles. He is widely recognized for his steady leadership, his deep commitment to protecting communities, and his ability to guide complex public safety efforts with clarity and purpose.
