We are happy to offer a variety of training options for you best leverage your PenLink system. Learn from the ground up, brush up on old skills, or search for details on a specific topic through self-paced learning, custom solutions, in-person classes, and virtual training. 

Self-paced learning

The Online Learning Library gives you on-demand learning at your fingertips. The library includes interactive learning modules that allow you to learn at your own pace. You can access the library to learn about a new topic, refresh the skills on a topic you already know, or look for reference materials.

Virtual Training

Live Online Classes: Our live online classes allow you to connect virtually to one of our live training classes. You receive all the benefits of the full classroom experience while taking the class from the convenience of your own desk.

Webinar: Our webinars offer topic-specific walkthroughs to help you get started or become more familiar with our software. Guided by a certified trainer, you can dial-in from anywhere to learn.

In-Person Training

PenLink delivers over 150 in-person classes annually at local law enforcement agencies. You can arrange to have one of our PenLink trainers come to your location or attend a class at a hosting agency’s location. These classes provide you with the knowledge to fully utilize the power of your PenLink system

Custom Solution

When your needs are outside of the box, you can arrange to have a customized learning experience for your agency. Whether that’s in-person, virtual, or self-paced. Pick the option that meets your needs, and we will create and deliver the content.


The PLX Online Library is your digital source for PLX learning modules. The library is arranged by topic to make it easy to integrate PLX into your investigations. The PLX Online Library is continuously being updated with a wide variety of topics, such as: How to navigate PLX, add and share cases, sort and filter in the Interactive Grid, review call details, review social media data, adding new subjects, and how to map and view records. 


The PLX Facebook Analysis Webinar is designed to equip users with increased knowledge related to analyzing Facebook subpoena or search warrant returns.  Over the course of the 2 hours, a Penlink trainer will guide participants through key steps, including how to: determine between a subpoena or search warrant submittal to Facebook, load Facebook returns into PLX, navigate the appropriate analysis areas to find patterns, and create conversation exports and presentation. 



Our instructors and technicians are always flexible in tailoring course content to the needs of the course participants.
Each class is structured around hands-on exercises for the student to complete at his or her individual computer.
