The Senior UX Designer is the behavior scientists of the development team and have a strong understanding of best practices to successfully integrate those into begin the ultimate end-user advocate. This role works with others to define product requirements and transform them into user-focused and intuitive digital product experiences. The Senior UX Designer will strategize and collaborate with Product Owners, Product Managers, subject matter experts, developers and other key stakeholders to create a best-in-class user-centric solution.


  • Working with stakeholders, Product Owners, Product Managers, as well as, any other people as needed to create user stories and functional requirements
  • Creating best-in-class solutions using UX research and design processes
  • Facilitating or moderating all aspects of PenLink’s UX research activities
  • Supporting or leading all aspects of PenLink’s UX design activities
  • Actively supporting continuous improvements to our PenLink UX practice
  • Working with Product Owners, Product Managers, as well, as any other people as needed to support GAP research, or other competitor research
  • Researching to have a clear understanding of our competitor’s products and the industry marketspace
  • Supporting Product Owners, Product Managers, as well as, any other people as needed on product strategy efforts
  • Supporting Marketing’s branding strategy efforts
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Knowledge of and ability to follow UX best practices and design patterns, as well as, accessibility standards and practices
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Ability to create effective data visualizations
  • Proficiency in Illustrator, PhotoShop, Experience Design, InVision, and/or other design and prototyping tools
  • Understanding of how application GUIs are built
  • Up-to-date understanding of UX trends, techniques and technologies
  • Ability to work collaboratively with design, development, product, and other key individuals/groups such as marketing and sales
  • Self-starter who can work through tasks without a lot of guidance


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IS, HCI, or IxD (or accredited certification) preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in the software development field as a UXD
  • WPF and XAML experience preferred
  • Experience with the Agile/Scrum development process
