The Recruiter is the individual who will strategize and execute on how we attract, engage and acquire top talent across our organization. This position is the point person for filling open positions and building our talent pipeline. The Recruiter is responsible for the full recruiting cycle from job postings to getting talent onboarded to campus/community opportunity and everything in between. Success measures include retention, time to fill, average days open, and depth metrics as determined by HR strategies.


  • Developing a full, robust recruiting strategy and executing on that strategy
  • Sourcing passive and active candidates via LinkedIn, campus recruiting, internship program, referrals, social media, etc.
  • Building a talent pipeline for frequently hired positions
  • Facilitating the recruiting process by understanding hiring manager needs, screening candidates through phone interviews, completing candidate profiles, presenting candidates to hiring managers, and guiding the interview process forward
  • Leading on-campus recruiting efforts like career fairs, involvement in the Raikes School, and being a part of other campus events (Reverse Pitch, classroom partnerships, etc.)
  • Leading the internship program at PenLink and developing an experience for them that makes them potential full time hires in the future
  • Partnering with Marketing to determine how we brand PenLink from a recruitment perspective to the community and social media content
  • Developing internal and external recruiting processes
  • Updating the company’s career page on the website with current openings and interesting, up-to-date content
  • Partnering with Hiring Manager and Director, HR to make job offers to candidates
  • Executing the new employee onboarding process from initial contact to completion of their first week onboarding plan
  • Training hiring managers and employees on being recruiters for PenLink
  • Determining involvement in industry/professional organizations
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Ability to execute in a fast-paced environment, meet time deadlines and balance multiple responsibilities
  • Collaboration and communication skills, both oral and written
  • Superior interpersonal relation skills and ability to effectively network
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to handle and keep information confidential
  • Self-driven individual who can manage multiple projects without supervision
  • Enjoy taking initiative to identify and anticipate needs and make recommendations


  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or business-related degree preferred
  • Required 1+ years of recruiting experience
  • Proven experience creating and executing an effective recruiting strategy
  • Previous experience advising and partnering with multiple hiring managers
  • Experience building talent pipelines for frequently hired positions
