Cell Site Intelligence

The Cell Site Intelligence course, or “CSI” for short, is intended for the intermediate PenLink 8 user who wants to learn the best-practice techniques of cell site analysis. The focus of the CSI course is to teach participants the methods of gathering cell site location information, and how to incorporate that data into their investigation and analysis. The course emphasizes hands-on experience, where students will work in groups to resolve real-life case scenarios.

Our instructors and technicians are always flexible in tailoring course content to the needs of the course participants. In general, however, the CSI class will cover the following topics, each with a set of hands-on exercises for the student to complete at his or her individual computer:

Mapping

Learn how to use embedded mapping features to locate target phones.

autoload

Learn how to interpret data received from Telephone Service Providers and store the data within the software.

Common terminology

Review common terminology in Subpoenas and Court Orders relating to Cell Site data.

analysis

Learn how to use Cell Tower information to anlayze and solve scenarios such as: homicide, abduction, and fugitive recovery.

reporting

Learn how to run specialized reports based on location data.

advanced analytics

Learn how to modify existing cell tower records to better assist with investigations.

pen proxy

Learn more about Pen-Proxy functionality and how it pertains to Cell Site Intelligence.

Exporting

Learn how to export data into multiple formats for presentations and discovery.
